Refutation: ”The Qadiani Deviance List”

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmat Allah Wabarakatuh,
.
I stumbled upon the below text today. The actual text is a much longer document. It contains a list of the ”apparently” deviant beliefs of the ”Qadianis” and why such beliefs result in us being outside of the pale of Islam – kuffar (disbelievers). I have listed here some of the more outrageous and inventive reasons. This is not just for our amusement – there is a purpose behind this post, namely:
.
  • Highlight what I believe is some of the flagrant misinformation spread across the internet about Ahmadiyya;
  • Demonstrate the lengths some scholars will go in order to defame Islam Ahmadiyya; and,
  • To say that a great deal of people place their trust in their ‘Ulama’ only to be misled and indoctrinated with this type of falsehood. It is any wonder, then, that many ordinary Muslims believe that Islam Ahmadiyya is deviant. This is not to say the non-Ahmadi ‘Ulama’ are the only ones to blame, but that they do play a large part. How else could it be that innocent children of five or six years call Ahmadis kafirs – a word they don’t even understand?
.
Now I humbly request two things from you, the reader. Firstly, please increase your prayers during this final third of Ramadan, and beyond, for the veil of truth to be lifted from the eyes of our many non-Ahmadi Muslim brothers and sisters who have been duped by their ‘Ulama’, governments and communities. Secondly, please add in the comments list below other outragious and false reasons commonly spouted by the ‘Ulama’ as their justification for Ahmadi-MUSLIMS being non-Muslims. In this way we can build the list and help to remove some of the fallacies out there. Think also back to those reasons people would tell you at school (obviously within reason, we all know of some of the more filthy accusations which need not find their way onto this blog).
.
Finally, to our non-Ahmadi brethren, if you believe anything on the below list then you have been duped. Your ‘Ulama, parents or teachers, whoever the source of your information is, has misled you on a very important part of your faith. If you feel any point is in fact true, please mention it in the comments section and I, and the blog’s many readers, will be happy to remove your misconception.
.
Jazak Allah

The Qadiani Deviance List (apparently)
____
  • The Qadianis believe that Allaah fasts, prays, sleeps, wakes up, writes, makes mistakes and has [Art of…: edited last part out – that’s just obscene!] – exalted be Allaah far above all that they say.
  • The Qadiani believes that his god is English because he speaks to him in English.
  • They believe that Jibreel used to come down to Ghulam Ahmad and that he used to bring revelation to him, and that his inspirations are like the Qur’aan.
  • They say that there is no Qur’aan other than what the “Promised Messiah” (Ghulam Ahmad) brought, and no hadeeth except what is in accordance with his teachings, and no Prophet except under the leadership of Ghulam Ahmad.
  • They believe that their book was revealed. Its name is al-Kitaab al-Mubeen and it is different from the Holy Qur’aan.
  • They believe that they are followers of a new and independent religion and an independent Sharee’ah, and that the friends of Ghulam are like the Sahaabah.
  • They believe that Qadian is like Madeenah and Makkah, if not better than them, and that its land is sacred. It is their Qiblah and the place they make hajj to.
  • They called for the abolition of jihaad and blind obedience to the British government because, as they claimed, the British were “those in authority” as stated in the Qur’aan.
  • In their view every Muslim is a Kaafir unless he becomes a Qadiani, and everyone who married a non-Qadiani is also a kaafir.
  • They allow alcohol, opium, drugs and intoxicants.
  • The British made the most of this opportunity so they started the Qadiani movement and chose a man from a family that had a history of being agents of the colonialists.
  • Ahmadis do not respect or love Hadrat ‘Isa (Jesus) (‘alayhi sal-salam).
  • Hajj and ‘Umrah is no longer necessary.
  • Belief in anthropomorphism which attributes Almighty Allah with human characteristics.
  • Belief in the transmigration of souls and incarnation.
  • Attributing a son to Almighty Allah.
  • The Qadianis have strong ties with Israel. Israel has opened centres and schools for them, and helped them to publish a magazine which is their mouthpiece, to print books and publications for distribution worldwide.
  • Qadianis were ‘made’ by the British to misguide Muslims after the Indian Mutiny.
  • The Bahishti Maqbara (Heavenly Graveyard) in Qadian is considered more important than the sites in Mecca.
  • Qadianis are heavily influenced by and look like Sikhs.
  • The Jalsa Salaana (Annual Convention) is considered a substitution for Hajj.
  • The Qadianis pray differently and have a different Quran.
  • Qadianis have abolished the Zakaat and only pay “Chanda” to pay for the Khalifa’s residence and personal needs – like a tax.
  • Qadianis are paid to be part of ther ‘Cult’.

Pasted in below is a story run by an anti-Ahmadi website recently. It is baseless and in fact refers to an incident in which the Indonesian authorities passed a law which forced Ahmadis, in this case all 164 who lived in this area, to cease all activities as Ahmadis. Contrary to the story, Alhamdulillah, 164 Ahmadis did not convert en masse to Islam – rather, they remain where they are, as Muslims. Thankfully, the site saw that the story is a complete fabrication and removed it. Lets pray they do this both retrospectively and in the future.

  1. ”Qadianis are heavily influenced by and look like Sikhs”
Now that is what we call comedy. What has someone’s looks got to do with thier faith?

And Eid Mubarak to all the readers in advance:)

  2. The infamous and fictitious Kitab al-Mubeen which Ahmadis apparently believe is above the Qur’an. No one has ever seen this book – if any of you do find it then please let us all know about it. If you google it you will see lots of results for non-Ahmadi sites. Lies, lies, and more lies.

  3. As a former Sunni Muslim I was told the following from my parents, extended family and a “scholar” at East London Mosque (Sunni Mosque):

“Qadianis dont believe in Khatme Nabuwwat”
“Qadianis were ‘made’ by the British to misguide Muslims after the Indian Mutiny”
“The Bahishti Maqbara (Heavenly Graveyard) in Qadian is considered more important than the sites in Mecca”
“Qadianis are heavily influenced by and look like Sikhs”
“The Jalsa Salaana (Annual Convention) is considered a substitution for Hajj”
“The Qadianis pray differently and have a different Quran”

“Qadianis have abolished the Zakaat and only pay “Chanda” to pay for the Khalifa’s residence and personal needs – like a tax”
“Qadianis are paid to be part of ther ‘Cult'”
    “If you

  4. These allegations bring complex memories back.
In addition to this I was repeatedly told that Ahmadies do not respect or love Hadhrat Isa (as) and that the Promised Messiah (as) called Hadhrat Isa (as) bad names, a drunk ( Naudhobillah) and in even more ill terms!
I would respond by saying that this is not true, we love Hadhrat Isa (as) as a beloved Prophet of Allah, and that the Promised Messiah (as) had in fact defended Hadhrat Isa (as) honour, when Christians and others would describe Hadhrat Isa (as) in those very hurtful and disgusting terms.
